Here's an example of the type of project I've shown my kids. It looks like something straight from the Dangerous Book for Boys (which they enjoyed). While I'm sure my wife wouldn't be thrilled with the thought of flaming projectiles flying around the house, enticing them off the passivity-box isn't easy...
My teenager gave this one a go. It took longer than expected, but the results were pretty cool. My wife asked what the burning smell in the kitchen was from, though.
